    Ouch!

Any reason I cant get a 250 or larger and just clone my 360 HDD to it, shove it in the case, and use it on the 360?

You can't just buy any off the shelf 2.5 drive and clone your 360 drive. Only specific models with specific modified firmwares will work with an xbox.

For more info on 3rd party hard drives. google: HDDHackr

that said, this is a decent deal. but I suspect retail 120s will go down when the 250s are out.

How much disk space do you actually need for an Xbox 360? Anybody ever max out storage capacity on a 120 GB drive?

I started out with at 20 GB drive that I filled up with game demos, free video downloads, game add-ons. I bought a 120 GB and never have to worry anymore.

You can install games to the hard drive now (5-7 GB each). The advantage of doing that is so you don't have to spin the DVD drive to run the game - you have have to have the game disc in there, but it reads most of the data from the HDD.

Hmmm.. Can you save your brothers game to your HD and play without having the disk? I would never do that but I wonder.

Sorry, you have to have the game disc in while playing games from the HD. There are several benefits from this - quieter, less wear & tear on the DVD drive.
