By plugging in a USB hard drive, could you achieve all the features of an internal XBox 360 Hard Drive?

I have a 360 system that I can not rid of the 3rlod. If I buy this as a replacement, does it have the hard drive capability so I can plug in the one I have from the old system? Thanks much.

Yes, you can transfer the 3RLOD/RROD over to the new unit.

However, it is not wise to reward a company by buying the same faulty product again.

I ordered this Saturday and got it today. It is the new Lite-on dvd drives so if you are planning to mod it you will have to wait til Dec 24th when the new firmware is available. You can also swap out the drive for another but that costs an extra 30-40 bucks.

#12, yeah it was a Jasper unit. It is 12.1A as opposed to the 14.2A of previous models.

I got one of these with the coupon codes reducing it to $161. Then I got that Circuit City Refurb HDD and Controller bundle for $40. System works fine. I'll probably ditch the game though. Tennis? Ugh.

    #16,
How big is the HDD you got?
I got the Pro version 60GB + 2 games. I think it's decent. If you added the 60GB HDD and the games the final cost would be higher...

Not that $10 dollars is that much, but I wonder if the 20% coupon will come back. Or will they offer the holiday bundle after xmas?

I bought this a few weeks back from dell and I did not get a Jasper version. It is the older falcon version. Buy at your own risk, YMMV. I just returned it and went to my local target and they had 4 jaspers in their lockbox. The part that sucks that is it cost $216 after tax as opposed to $183 after tax. But that extra $33 bucks is worth it for a jasper IMO. Also just to let you know, they no longer ship the 256mb memory unit with the jasper xbox anymore. They have it built on the motherboard instead. Mine did not come with a memory card.
