I think it's hysterical these units were selling at 1,000 when they first came out.
Xbox vs FAT PS3. FAT PS3 is the winner: Blu-ray player, linux option, bluetooth and wifi ready.
fanboys ftl.
so so deal, there are better to be had out there on either system.
You know what is funny? #2 listed everything but games. So I am going to assume the PS3 sucks at games. So if anyone want a good blu-ray LINUX wifi bluetooth console, the PS3 is the way to go. But all you gamers out there might as well stick with the 360.
I have a quad core with a dual GPU that would probably be a better LINUX machine than the PS3. Plus, it is also a kick ass gaming machine too.
Sorry PS3, you lose.
@#4:
and if I wanted to pay $600-$800 for a pc that games well, I would follow your suggestion.
The whole point of owning a console is that I don't have to worry about updating my hardware all the time. Frankly, I don't want to be bothered by that. This is a stupid argument.
Please, don't show your ignorance by saying that the PS3 doesn't have games. That might have been an argument in 2007, but in 2010, that's a none issue.
angrymutt88> "assume"
Nuff said -
so which "Holiday" is this bundle for? Presidents Day?
isnt Xbox live ending its service next year? and also theres been quite a few games that were 360 exclusive but got ported to PS3 at microsofts expense for funding the initial game production
Pretty much anything is a better linux machine than the PS3. The OS only has access to 256mb of memory and it can't access the graphics engine. Unless you're running a cluster of them and doing massively parallel calculations linux on a PS3 is a fail, at least for general computing tasks with more than one window open.
Buy a PS3 for blu-ray and games, don't fool yourself into thinking that you also get a kick-ass linux computer in the mix.
#8, "Xbox live ending its service next year" Where did you get that hogwash?
#8 read that Microsoft is ending Live support for the original Xbox, and having failed reading comprehension all his life, understood that Microsoft was ending Live all together.
#8 could use the power of the internet to fact check himself. It would take all of three seconds on Google. But no, #8 is a lazy ignoramus and instead uses the power of the internet to broadcast his ignorance far and wide.
Sadly, there are about 3 billion #8's on the internet anymore.
#2 = STUPID
Go play with your stupid PS3 and the Playstation Network that drops your connection constantly and lags. Whoever setup the Playstation Network should of been fired by now. Thats why I sold my PS3 and got a 360...wow no more lag and connection drops!
