features nothing for a limited time? what?
#1, I'm pretty sure it's a shot at the connection issues Xbox Live has been and is currently having.
A few online games are close to unplayable at times (Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, etc.)
Hope Microsoft can fix things soon.
I haven't been able to connect or do anything for about a week. Pretty much blows.
What in the hell are you talking about #2 and #3 how about spending some money and getting a faster connection buddy.
I too have been having issues playing Halo 3 on XBlive. It mostly says unable to retrieve data from xbox live, and if it doesn't say that it takes a very long time to find people to play a game with. However, once it does find people and start a game, the game play is usually fine. Not laggy or anything like that.
Also, I have a 10mbit/~1mbit connection so bandwidth isn't an issue. I am using Ethernet and I even tested the cables and they tested fine... So I have to agree that it's an XBlive problem.
It's not a problem limited to XBox. I got my PS3 for Christmas and I think the Christmas newb rush has inundated most online systems beyond their capabilities. COD4 on PS3 has had similar issues trying to connect to games but, once you're in, it works great.
says coupon has expired, lame... but other wise i think it's free shipping and tax in ca. so pretty good deal if that coupon turns back on.
I thought the 12 month card came with a free 13th month. Or is that only select packages?
#4 right ... 'cause that's the problem.

i still have yet to have any problem on either of my 2 xbox 360s.
"The coupon has expired!"
Xbox Live was having issues... but only on my 360, not my xbox.
Working now.
#1 - some of the Live cards feature Halo or other stuff for a limited time. so ben is just being funny.
And Live has been jacked for 2 weeks for me. When I finally get into Gears or Halo or COD4 - matchmaking fails and I eventually get kicked off. It's been happening ever since the update.
this is why the PS3 is a better machine all around.
updates dont kill the machine and their service always works.
#13 you mean the half a dozen updates in the past couple of months? Yep, nothing says "great system" like system update after system update. Especially when the system isn't smart enough to automate any part of it. Not to mention 0 exclusives that make the system worth owning (sorry the 30th ratchet and clank and yet another mediocre fps by sony isn't incentive enough for me). If you'll excuse me I have to play Gears of War, no Halo 3, no Mass Effect, no Bioshock. Hell Perfect Dark Zero beats any of the released ps3 exsclusives. Since Sigma doesn't count (a warmed over update to a 4 year old xbox game? count me out).
good play, #14...good play.
#13 and tell me why does PS3 games suck mostly
Right on #14
PS3 and Xbox 360 both suck! I'll take my Colecovision any day!
im talking about the machine itself.. why do you think microsoft had to back peddle cause they know they killed machines with the red ring of death. Machines are still dying daily. A lot of the updates that microsoft put out killed machines, it killed mine along with quite a few others i saw on the xbox board.
The PS3 was better thought out, atleast i didnt have to spend another $200 for an external hd-dvd player, which doesnt even play 1080p. The PS3 is a better deal, in the long run.
As far as exclusives come, there are a ton coming out this year.
If you say.. the 360 has Halo3.. BFD! It was the same freakin game as it was for the past 2 incarnations and both of those sucked. Halo3 looked like it was 5 years behind graphics wise. I like my xbox but it has its faults.
Plus, if i want to upgrade my PS3 hard drive, i can do that for a lot cheaper than buying one. Xbox rips you off with what they want for their new drive. I can put a 160gb drive in my PS3 for around $100 and if i went to buy the 360s HD, it would be smaller and cost more.
Regardless of which system is better, if you have a 360, then $30 is a great deal for xbox live.
