PS3 is improving its online capabilities, soon it will be better than 360. Plus its free so you will not be paying $40.

#2 no its not. In every way PS3 is better than 360. Just wait for better games to come out. And you are eventually going to need that bluray player.

hdd871, why wait when you can HAVE? 360 has games that are out NOW. That are GOOD. And the system is $200 less. $600 for the PROMISE of equaling Xbox Live for free? I'm sure a year or two down the road but not anytime soon. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that a $600 system with no
    Knock Knock.
    Who's there?
    Bacon.
    Bacon who?
app , a bucket of promises is going to get trounced by a system that's 200 less and has games and online play in SPADES. Besides, with this deal, Live works out to be $3.33 per month. But I guess when you spend $600 on a just a system and still have to buy games, you tend to be a bit frugal and I can see how $3 and change can really pinch a man's wallet. /sarcasm

People will bitch about $40 for a year of online gaming, $10 for a CD, $50 for a game but then don't hesitate to order that large pizza w/ 2 sodas for $15.

    Its a good deal!

    @ #3

Maybe PS3 is better in someways but I think Sony for winning this war with Microsoft added expensive technology to PS3 so they can win the race but they made a big mistake. They add these things so soon and the price went up and people didn't buy it. PS3 HDMI is good but not really useful for many people at this time.

I think that is why Microsoft didn't want to add HDMI or HD-DVD to XBOX360 so they don't make it more expensive.

Same reason for BluRay drive. I have both PS3 and XBOX 360 and I can tell some of PS3 games have a good graphic but the diffence is not that much worth paying for PS3. Just look at 'Gears of War' for XBOX 360 and see how fantastic is this game and what a graphic.

The reason I got PS3 is becuase I had a good offer to get it for $550 at that time and not even paying regular $600 price or more. Second reason was just to have BluRay player. But at the end, for gaming, I went for XBOX 360 and I don't think I will buy PS3 games in near future. It is just a less expensive BluRay player to me compare to $999 Sony BluRay Player.
