Why pay for online play when you could get it for free.
AND let the xbox a ps3 war begin.
#2 you are wrong and you suck.
Number one's mom is awesome!
wow, something I've actually been looking for a deal on.
We are all slaves to m$
#3 are you burp kidding me?
Picked one up.....good deal.
ps3 has the worst online interface and crap for a community. This is a great deal for 360 owners. If your subscription isn't up yet you can still get and they will extend your current subscription accordingly.
Yes, RagMaN, I am burp kidding you. I fooled your stupid ass.
In for 2
1). A third of XBOX 360 (33%) are malfunctioning right from the start. PS3 return rate is only around 0.2%. Despite some people say, that new 360 has no breakdown issues - just visit Xbox section of Yahoo answers and see for yourself an amount of complaints.
2). PS3 has 8 (7+1) kernels in Cell processor, Xbox 360 -only 3.
3). PS3 uses advanced tech called Blu-Ray, one disc can store up to 54 gb (in the future - up to 200 gb), Xbox 360 - regular dual layer DVD-9 (8.5GB). It's possible to get HD-DVD (max. - 30GB) for 360, but it'll cost you around 180$, in this case Xbox is going to be MUCH more expensive, than PS3.
4). Calculations per sec - PS3 - 51-billion-dot-product-operati... per second
Xbox 360 - 33.6-billion-dot-product-opera... per second
5). PS3 has full media support - USBs, built-in 4 slots card reader (except 20GB and 40GB versions), ability to use printer and so on.
Xbox 360 has USBs and only 2 memory slots.
6). PS3 supports up to 7 Bluetooth Controllers
Xbox 360 - up to 4 Controllers
7). PS3 - wi-fi included (except 20 gb version)
Xbox 360 - wi-fi will cost you around 100 $
12). In 2008 PS3 will get more than 300 games, including Metal Gear Solid 4, The Agent and other great exclusives. Here is the good link to the future PS3 releases. http://ps3.ign.com/index/release.html.
13). PS3 online is free, Xbox 360 - you have to pay.
up to 200gb later for blu ray.. damn.. didnt know that.. but nonetheless for live this a good deal
1). A third of XBOX 360 (33%) are malfunctioning right from the start.
Not anymore. That's from earlier stats. The issue has been fixed, any 360 you buy now will not have the same issue.
2). PS3 has 8 (7+1) kernels in Cell processor, Xbox 360 -only 3.
It's not using all of those "8 processors." Game developers have said that the 360's development environment is much easier to work with - what good is a handful of processors if they aren't going to be maximized?
3). PS3 uses advanced tech called Blu-Ray
And it has been shown this has zero impact on games. Good if you want your game machine to be a movie player, but that's about it.
4). Calculations per sec - PS3 - 51-billion-dot-product-operati... per second
Xbox 360 - 33.6-billion-dot-product-opera... per second
You don't even know what that means. Facts: the Xbox 360 CPU architecture has three times the general purpose processing power of the Cell. The Xbox 360 GPU design is more flexible and it has more processing power than the PS3 GPU. The memory system bandwidth in Xbox 360 exceeds the PS3's by five times.
5.) PS3 has full media support - USBs, built-in 4 slots card reader (except 20GB and 40GB versions), ability to use printer and so on.
Bullshit. The 360 works just as well, if not better due to its seamless Windows integration that allows streaming of many video formats, including DivX/XviD. Oh, and when's the last time you used your printer with your PS3, douchebag? The 2 memory card slots "hit" on the 360 is the most useless thing you've listed so far. No one even uses memory cards anymore, let alone more than two of them.
6). PS3 supports up to 7 Bluetooth Controllers
Which is useless because no game has or will ever use 7 controllers on the same console. And Bluetooth is less reliable that the 360's proprietary interface.
7). PS3 - wi-fi included (except 20 gb version)
Congrats! You've found ONE THING better about the PS3! Took you long enough.
12). In 2008 PS3 will get more than 300 games
Which is much less than the 360. And the overall average score of PS3 games is lower than the overall average score of 360 games.
13). PS3 online is free, Xbox 360 - you have to pay.
You get what you pay for. The PS3's online capabilities will ALWAYS lag behind the 360's because they are playing catch-up.
It sucks that you have to pay for online play. Your already paying for internet access. Would be like paying to play a head to head pc game with someone over the net. It's crazy
How much does a month of Live cost without a card?
