Uhm, buy sux and geeks don't? You're either stupid or sniffing glue.

Huh? #1 must be sharing his glue stick with #3. If this was the new Jasper or if it at least had HDMI it might be worth it...but as is it's just an overpriced re-spiffed space heater.

On the buy.com page for this item it actually says "Ships from and sold by Geeks". Geeks has it for $155.

I got good experiences with buy.com. I ordered an item once and since it was larger than I expected, I got an RMA and buy.com paid for the return shipping. I must be lucky as everyone else seems to have bad experiences with them?

Mine just came in and it has a burgundy light in one corner of the power LED and stopped working after 2 hours of light use.

Is there a firmware update or something? When did Microsoft start making sucky hardware?

#10 Here's some sound advice I once got:
    - Never trust hardware from a software company (like Microsoft), or software from a hardware company (like IBM).

I suspect that your Xbox fried itself. Check if this is what you are seeing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360_technical_problems

You should find your warranty card, call MS, and have them send you a new xbox. Hopefully you'll get one of the new Jaspers. Most of the hardware issues have been fixed on these. Your old one will probably end up on Geeks or Buy.com as one of these refurbs... and then break for someone else...the cycle goes on.

buy.com customer service does suck. It seemed like they weren't even reading my emails but instead just sending a computer generated response. I eventually just gave up...

I still buy from them, but only when they are way cheaper than everywhere else.
