#2 best bang for your buck?! 200 bucks for a next-gen gaming system seems to fall into that category. what you claim you NEED to make this system worth it is incorrect. For two hundred bucks and a live card you are online and playing. You still fail at the internets.
lol #17 we pay more for less when we buy a ps3?! what the hell have you been smoking dude. There is no less in ps3, its more and more than you want with blueray, hdmi upgrade, divx, wireless, free online game play, the best graphics of any gaming system and much less issues than with xbox systems. Alas the blind will remain blind.
A refub 360! Now I know what "land of the brave" really means.

As far as getting on XBL from your living room, try one of these: http://bensbargains.net/deal/2519/
I got one about a year ago, and it works fine. It _may_ be giving total strangers unsecured access to my wireless network, but I think I heard somewhere that the terminal and base station talk on a non-standard frequency.
i think the PS3 is excellent
Newsflash - PS3 pricing caused $3 billion loss:
http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/ps3-pricing-caused-3-billion-loss-for-sony
How much more bleeding can sony take before they pull the plug?
Incidently, XBL is a great service. An option for wireless is to get a router that can act as an access point.
I think this is a great deal if you;
Don't have an HD TV
Don't want to play online
Don't care about watching HD movies
And just want to have a working system for 6 months or less
If not get a PS3
Sony may have lost 3 Billion but won the format war. This fact means that Sony is in a better position to profit in years to come.
Lets face it Microsoft hardware is crap.
