Microsoft rumored to slash Xbox 360 price -
Whispers of $50 price cut swirled on popular gaming blogs last week.

IMHO they have to do more, the PS3 has too many things in it's favor at the the moment.
60 day warranty
ha ha !
the rumor is the 20gb version will drop $50 as they're cleared out to be replaced with a 60gb version.
MS could stem the PS3 tide by finally getting a blue ray expansion out there. Most people I know that are buying PS3's (and I'm one of them) are doing so for the entertainment center/home theatre functionality - not the games.
Sony could, of course, put the whole battle to bed fast if they would just make all PS3's PS2 compatible. It's not just the expense - it's the confusion of "Is this one of the ones that is or not?"

Full(ish) page ad here suggests the ad will hit on July 13 (as College Road Trip and Step Up 2's release date is July 15th) no word on the "core" system
actually #5, PS3 is most likely going all PS2 non compatable. They discontinued all compatable models, and I would assume the new models will not have the compatability at all, to force users to start buying up PS3 games.
how can you tell if an xbox is hdmi or not? is there an hdmi output port or something? thnx.
^ when the back of your 360 looks like this:

Sorry #7, but you are wrong. The 80Gb version was discontinued for a short time, but it has be released again now in a bundle with Metal Gear Solid. It is still backwards compatible with the PS2.
There are also rumors that Sony is getting a firmware update ready that will add backwards compatability to the 40Gb model. It has just taken them a while to get it running well with the newer chipset used in the 40Gb model. The 80Gb model does software emulation but it has the older larger chipset.
No, sorry, #10, you're wrong. My neighbor told me that the firmware update for the 40 GB model is to allow users to play Xbox games.
Step Up 2's release date is July 15th? burp YES
Only 284 days until the release of Step Up 3: The Final Step
#12 I know! I can't wait for the bonus footage and deleted scenes!
Sold out? "Sorry, this product is no longer sold at the Buy.com website."
What.... #11 what corporate lawyer do you think will actually allow that to happen yeah right.. well maybe with Billy retiring there might be a minut chance but seriously doubt it. And the xbox 360 is better as you can program you own games and have an entertainment system with a pc connected plus download movies with Xbox Live accounts. So you can do windows home server, windows xp and xbox 360 for your entertainment needs. Sorry but the truth is xbox 360 blows ps3 out of the water. You can download movies to the xbox 360 or the baconased pc or the windows home server. Bluray is the only thing that they have going for them.
Yes buy an Xbox 360 if you want a superior media center box that will baconnaise the bed after 6 months of use.
damn this was a hot deal.
#5 is so, so right.
Back in stock.
