how is this deal?
It's less than full price, thus making it a deal.
It's average. You could get it for this price a year ago December if that helps.
it did .. ty
If you can find it at a better price, then go ahead and post it, smartypants.
OMG BEST DEAL EVER!
For those interested:
Rainbow Six: Vegas: $40 at Circuit Shitty (store only), Worst Buy, Walmart.
12 month Live Gold card: $40 at Circuit Shitty.
As much as I hate Walmart, I just got back from buying both the Live card and RS:V there since WorstBuy has been out of stock on RS:V for 2 days (even though their website says it's in stock at the local store). Circuit Shitty is out of the Live cards and had no RS:V at all. One stop at Walmart got me the game for $40 shelf-price, and 12 month Live card for $40 price-matched.
Caution:
Overstock sends used items. They are not new! SOMETIMES.
I got a used 360, but they happily replaced it with a new one. But I had to pay 40 dollar shipping. LAME.
I had the same experience with Overstock g I got a refurb item when I was specifically told it was not a refurb (I asked before I bought it). They offered to take it back but going through all the hassle of returning it and finding something else, etc. wasn't worth it. The item (a car stereo amplifier) has worked fine for the past 2 years so no problem there, but I still didn't like opening the box to find a clearly used item when I was told it was new.
it was probably just returned, not refurb, fatboy.
i love how #7 thinks he's cool with those names he probably came up with. hey, i think walfart sounds a lot better than worse buy and circuit shitty.
#7, i for one appreciate the tip on Rainbow Six, I'd been looking to pick that game up.
Thumbs down for shopping at walmart tho, boo.
Too bad it's sold out in the 10 or so closest stores to here that it showed me, would have been nice.
Micro Center (in Dallas, TX anyway) had the 360 Platnum for $299 after a $100 mail in rebate. Same rebate for the basic system too. But that was until 12/31 I think. Guess that was a better deal!?
For all those worried about refurbs did you ever think to buy a new one from wal-mart and a refurb from overstock? You can then return the refurb unit to wal-mart within 90days of your wal-mart purchase. And for #12 there is the added bonus of sticking it to Sam Walton a little bit.
Is this the best xbox 360 deal out there though? I googled the terms xbox and rebate and found this:
http://www.microcenter.com/rebates/rebate_show.phtml?id=26779
it is a rebate for $100 for xbox 360 from microcenter, the problem is that it just expired...
Here is a press release:

#14, Sam Walton is actually dead, so you're sticking it to the shareholders. Some of them are probably still his heirs, while some are pension funds and others average joes who own a bit of WalMart in their 401k, etc.
I'm not saying WalMart is a wonderful company but they've definitely been tarred by the unions who want to make life harder for them since they won't allow the employees to unionize. It's the unions that are behind walmart watch and all of those other "grass roots" organizations that slam Walmart. It's not like Target treats their people any better, Walmart is just the biggest.
CC has it for retail, but you get a free wireless controller(2 total). About the same deal in the end but no waiting and no risk of shipping damage. (No RMA crap either) Plus I HATE Overstock, they can suck my balls.
