Ben has a similar deal from Bestbuy for 360 Platinum + Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (release 3/8 but actually available already) + $20 giftcard for $399. In store pickup to avoid delivery charges but tax is collected. I grabbed this over the weekend along with my TS-352C.
Rumor has it that the Zephyr (360 v2) will be hitting store shelves between March 23 and May 1. Smaller (cooler cpu), 120GB HD and HDMI out. Price is supposed to be 480 All of this is OFFICIALLY UNCONFIMED by MS, but worth considering if you're in the market for a 360 right now.
I ended up getting mine from CC with PGR# for $399. I tried to get this through KMART and two days after my order they called my to verify my address for some reason. THEN, two more days later they email me and say it is out of stock!! THEN, Kmart goes ahead and shipps my GEARS OF WAR(which I ordered w/360), but I had no system to play it on!!!! F8CK KMART
Not really #2, TOO MUCH hearsay to avoid it at this point. Unless you are willing to wait 6 month, a year+ we don't know. The hard drive anyone would be able to upgrade. And the Hdmi is somthing I would prefer NOT to use. I can get the optimum picture possible on the 360 with the RGB plug. If anyone thinks that the HDMI improves your signal, It won't(unless maybe on an up converting dvd player). HDMI is purely a convenience thing!!!
There seems to be a lot of availability of PS3s in local stores. Which usually means that they are not selling. I hear that the games are better on Xbox360.
If you guys are serious about waiting on Microsoft's announcement about the revision of the xbox (rumored hdmi out, 120gb hd, etc), wait out the week. The GDC is in San Francisco this week, and announcements are expected from Sony and Microsoft.
The Xbox Live Video Marketplace is getting some of the truly compelling content we've been waiting for, as Wired is reporting that the first high definition episode of South Park will be available for download tomorrow. At the incredibly great price of free -- for the first two weeks -- all Xbox Live members can download the "Good times with Weapons" episode. If you for some reason don't have a 360, or don't have the internet and are reading this via teletype, Best Buy will also be making the episode available on HD DVD discs free with the purchase of an Xbox 360 or the HD DVD add-on between March 20th and April 3rd. Animated TV shows have been missing in HD for too long, hopefully we'll see more of those and more HD content on XBLM -- like HD Battlestar Galactica episodes we don't have to wait 6 months to see, as suggested by our friends at Joystiq.
If you're looking for a free xbox, you could just sell your soul to www.xboxfreezone.com, you sign up for a BILLION offers (and they apparently track offer status) and you get a free xbox.
It's the 360 pictured in the page.. not the original xbox. The commercials for that site are burp unreal "duur I went there and it was all real. I got my free xbox360 within two days." "I couldn't believe it, it was the actual xbox 360 and the real $400 retail package, not the core one."

Any idea if this Zephyr will have the HD-DVD drive in it? Or will it just have the current DVD drive?

#2, thank you for your info. But $480.... it is pricy for a game console.... Why can video console and games become so expensive?
I will just end up getting the external Xbox 360 HD-DVD for my PC. Any good deals for that?
Wow! Ben can read minds. Thanks Ben.
anybody here owns both xbox360 and ps3? which console do u think it has a better future?

Does this thing come with a HEMI?

Do your homework on HDMI (obviously you just go by hear-say) and you won't be talkin' out your arse. RGB is limited in bandwith, HDMI is not.
