Zero idea on this one, as I haven't realy been watching the 360 deals. Is this a decent price for what it is?

Hmmm, currently have the non-hdmi 20 gig version. If the HD on this was at least 60 gig, I'd pick it up.

Arcade = no HDD, only 258MB of on-board FLASH, HDMI.
Core = no HDD, no Flash, no HDMI.
Premium = 20GB HDD, retro-fitted with HDMI as of July 2007 (like this one) [also known as the Pro].
Elite = 120GB HDD, HDMI. Does include HDMI cable (whoopty).

    "Warranty: 30-Days"

Absolutely a terrible deal if that is all you get. With the high failure rate of 360's you should get a regular warranty.

The Core bundle has been discontinued. The Core was not HDMI ready, it came with Composite cables only, WIRED controller, did not have a hard drive, and it was later replaced by the Arcade bundle.

The Arcade was pretty much like the Core. Only upgrades are that it came with a WIRELESS controller this time, HDMI output, 256mb memory, and a free Xbox Live ARCADE disc containing 5 games.

The Premium is synonymous with the Pro. It includes a WIRELESS controller, component cable, 20GB HDD (newer one comes with 60GB), HDMI ready (only for newer 60GB PRO bundle), ethernet cable, and a headset. This bundle is said to be discontinued and replaced by the Elite.

The Elite is the most expensive bundle. First of all, it comes packaged with a black Xbox 360 system with a wireless controller, 120GB HDD, and headset all matching the black Xbox. Additionally, it is HDMI ready and this time it includes an HDMI cable.

*Prices of the system increase as the list proceeds.

You can probably get a one yr warranty from Square Trade for about $35. Shipping starts at $11 according to Ben. Depending on where you live, there may be tax. That brings it close to $200, at least. If #5 is correct, I'd say Target is the better deal, even with sales tax. If you know someone who works for Target, you may be able to have them buy it with their employee discount.

also, anyone unaware, the price of the elite system is supposed to be dropping to $299 very very soon, and I believe amazon already lists it at that price.

I'm sorry but since Xbox's have over a 50% return rate I would never buy one. Refurbished or otherwise makes no difference to me. On the positive side, at least Microsoft is honoring warranties.

The new Arcade seems to be imnune to RROD since it use the new chip which use less power so save on your electric bill too.

So people are buying the arcade and mod their hard drive to 120Gb. Get a wireless controller, headset.

The Elite should be dropping in price since new PS3 slim is now $300 which has Bluray, Blutooth, Wifi that absent on Xbox360 (hard drive as big as your heart content-there may be a 1.5/2Tb limit as oppose to 120Gb on 360 which will cost you $180 alone). But with the PS3, absent is the fan noise, dvd-drive noise, RROD.

I'm not a Sony fanboy-I hate them but I has sent in 3 xboxes last year. Went with 360 since it was the price leader-now the PS3 and Sony seem to be the value leader.
