And the rumors persist about Micorsoft incorporating a blu ray disk drive into these units - not this one though.

The free games seem to be bundled with all 360s now. Probably good enough to occupy someone for a few days after Christmas.

A few jaspers are rumored to have been found in pro systems too, but not confirmed. I would think they would be putting them in all them now. I got a freaking Zephyr on black friday, manufactured 10/23/08. Gonna take it back and get another one because some douche stapled a staple into the side of the system and put a hole in it.

what brand of dvd-rom these thing comes with?

My xbox RROD on BF. I ended up ordering an arcade 360 from dell the same day. I'm hoping it is a jasper with 150W psu. How many other people have had the RROD? This will be the second time this has occurred to a 360 I've owned in two years. The refurb system MS sent back the first time had a different serial # from the one I sent in.

I got my kids an elite. Does anyone think that was a better choice than this system?

well, you paid extra for the 60gb+ hdd space, hdmi cable and the color of the console(black).
