Agreed, #1. Maybe they're selling the popularity? Whatever it is, it must be working.

Though, like you said, $2.50 a month vs. $4+ is a bargain.

#2, yes you can renew with this. This is how I renew so Microsoft doesn't have my credit card number on file.

I agree this is a ripoff, this should be a free service like Playstation. Their revenue streams are in downloadable content and the burp annoying advertisements I am subjected to IN GAME, Madden is the worst with this. I guess they have to recoup their losses in the RROD debacle some how

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
My online experience with the PS3 is horrible.
Bought a 360 and never looked back...Xbox Live is great with LAG FREE gaming! And makes it 10 times easier to invite friends to games and chat.
All my friend are buying 360s now and selling their PS3s.

I agree #6. I have more friends on the ps3, but I jumped ship about a year ago. Most of the time spent on games like cod4, was spent trying to figure out what happened to the 4th guy in your party. I would be happy to pay $30 a year, to playstation if the online experience was just as good.
Bottom line here, it is a solid price.

Free is always nice. For now, I rather pay for something that works than have something free that is fustrating to use. This is the best deal going if you have a local Walmart. If not, Amazon has this for 35 (no tax for most).

The chat and party feature alone on Live is worth the extra $3 a month. It's almost impossible to chat with your friends when hoping from game to game on PSN. Also, every game on Live works the same when inviting friends. On PSN, it's complete opposite.

Also, for all who get taxed at Walmart, Amazon price matched for the same price.
