Newegg has the XFX Double D FX-787A-CDFC Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card for $235 - $20 rebate [Exp 2/15] = $215 with free shipping. Includes BioShock Infinite and Tomb Raider game coupons with purchase (which are normally $60 each).
Building a new system and need a good vidcard deal. This one isn't it. Anyone seen any better cards for a good price in this general performance range?
While there's now those "Red-Headed Step Child" of 7870's that I'm kind of leaning toward. Those are the 7870's that use the Tahiti core and include Boost. I really see them for the folks who don't like OC'n there some merit to Boost that helps a little, but only once the price is more like $225.
Here's a review that puts it in perspective. The EVGA GTX 660 FTW Signature 2 3Gb... best price is on EVGA own website and it's $250 -AR20. This hyped card should be better than most reference 660Ti models, while here we see it barely outshines a reference 7870, and bested by the Myst 7870 (Tahiti core with Boost) that's $240 on Egg No rebate w/FS and includes Bioshock & Tomb Raider game coupons. http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/graphics/51273-evga-geforce-gtx-660-ftw-signature-2/

I'd recommend this:

Unfortunately it's not on sale any more. A week or two ago it was at $199 including a $20 rebate. But you might watch for it.
Yeah, for $199 I'd pull the trigger. I'll put a watch on it. These things often repeat.
While yes the HIS was nice this is good if the two games have any use to you. I think there not much difference in either even when it come to OC'n, but the HSI make a good card to go to CrossFire just because the fan and rear exhaust.
