i've gotten pretty much every rebate that i file on time, with the exception of xfx-they've f'd up several. you can find an evga for a little more but w/ no rebate or a nice 4850. but i wouldn't buy this.

There's another good reason to avoid buying the 9800GT. If you want to plonk down the moolah to buy two cards you're also going to need a power supply with 2 (yes TWO) Pcie aux power connectors. those kinds of supplies cost an arm AND a leg. so my advice is: steer clear of this card. Instead, buy the 4830 because it does not need a stupid PCIe aux power connector. Heck, go buy two of the 4830s and help drive AMD's stock up while you're at it.

#3, my Asus ATI 3450 has a 2 DVI and 1 HDMI, but you can just use an adapter to convert DVI to HDMI (or get a cable that is DVI on one end and HDMI on the other). The only thing you lose with DVI to HDMI conversion is that the cable will not carry audio -- you'll have to run that separately.

The Asus card I got was the cheapest one at NewEgg and has an optional low-profile bracket. You won't be playing newer 3D games on it but for HTPC operations, it works fine.
