WTF they still make AGP!? What about my 486 I need one in PCI!
hmm.. according to the site, it says PCI EXPRESS x16, not AGP!
pcix16
AGP? Too high tech for me, I need one for a VESA slot as my ISA slots are to full. anyone?
The link is to the HD-465X-ZDF2 not ZPF2. Newegg has the HD-465X-ZDF2 for the same price (with a free Ruby Rom game): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150396
ok here is my question. Is this card better than my Nvidia 7600GT ?
If it is than how many times faster this card is compair to 7600gt.
I want card for gamming not for HTPC.
and i am talking about PCI version not the AGP version.
Thanks in advance
#5 just compare your specs with this card's specs
Core Clock 600MHz
Stream Processors 320 Stream Processing Units
Memory
Memory Clock 1000MHz
Memory Size 1GB
Memory Interface 128-bit
Memory Type DDR2
Here are the specs of my card. i copied them from newegg. i dont know what is the meaning of all this. can some one tell me is it better to upgrade to 4650 or should i go for something else. if something else than what can i get in 100 doller budget ?
Chipset Manufacturer NVIDIA
GPU GeForce 7600GT
Core Clock 560MHz
PixelPipelines 12
Memory Clock 1400MHz
Memory Size 256MB
Memory Interface 128-bit
Memory Type GDDR3
3D API
DirectX DirectX 9
OpenGL OpenGL 2.0
RAMDAC 400 MHz
Max Resolution 2560 x 1600
SLI Supported, PCI Express x16
The easiest way I have found to compare cards from different generations is to trust tomshardware.
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-graphics-card,2464-8.html
the charts from tomshardware are the best. I'm not sure which one is better, the one you have DDR3 while the 4650 is DDR2 which means the yours would be faster in that aspect, but there are also specs that are better than yours such as the core speed which you can overclock it to make it performce better. I would just go with the 4650 since its newer but if I were you I would just look around first to see how you can max out that $100 limit with better deals
#7 Here's what I do, If I were you. Your 7600GT is not a bad card at all, can play most games. Fist I would update your driver thur NVIDIA websie to get better game play. If you still don't see any difference, Don't even try to upgrade to something like this, It wase of MONEY. You might get 10 to 30 percent better then what you have, but you would'nt be happy. Been there, Done that..
This card will make a huge jump from your 7600GT but it cost 145 Here the trick, Watch for it on BF here and Cyber Monday you might get lucky and score somthing like this for 99 shiped.. The important factor of upgrading to something like this, Make sure you have a decent or a
Knock Knock.
Who's there?
Bacon.
Bacon who?
machine. nothing like 1.8ghz 1gb of memory..

Isn't this the third times Ben links a PCIe card as an AGP?
