FYI - Egg has dropped prices on 7970 and it looks pretty much across the board. The GIGABYTE GV-R797D5-3GD-B 7970 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 is $470 No Rebate w $8 shipping and a Free copy od DIRT3.

It appears AMD finally had got good quantities of Tahiti GPUs in the channel so attack while the enemy has no defense. Pretty much all the reference style are $480, and OC customs can go up from there. Not a GTX680 available at Egg.

480 no rebate aint bad for a 28nm.. but every single radeon card i've purchased in the past has had some kind of issue.. so i've decided to steer clear.

too bad amd wont supply the competition.

Sure is for like 1920x resoluction it and a GTX 560 (non Ti) spar back and forth depending on the game, You just can't beat $130 even with a high rebate it got BfB writen all over it.
While also check the Price History for more...
