I thought ClubIt filed chapter 11 last month already . And what that xtra thing stick out the box for ????
They found a buyer for the company and reopened their doors a few days later.
The thing sticking out the back is a radiator. Gotta put the heat somewhere if there's no fan.
thanks #2
OK, this PSU is perfect for those looking for noiseless power supply, LOL, go for it
MAGNUM!!
Old PSU ... but these have decent Japanese caps ... likely over rated watts ... but not by much.
Lotsa bling ... and quality components from what I can find out.

Take note of the dimensions. It's a big larger than normal and may not fit your case.
Dimensions on linked picture below.
The problem with the rating is that it would be valid at a low temp, not at the higher temp the unit runs at due to being passive. This is also true for many other PSU rated at 25C, but more significant when fanless operation results in higher temp.
It does have a fan inside but not very smartly implemented, will end up recirculating air since it has no direct external mounting to draw in or exhaust *fresh* air.
It would've been a better PSU if they had done away with the rear heatpipe sticking out and used the space they freed up to put a low RPM fan there that always ran. If it were low enough RPM it would be inaudible and extend the lifespan of the PSU. Even good quality capacitors don't live very long at high temp, and the temp the unit reports can't be accurate as it is a higher heat density than in the computer chassis yet by one report was the same temp as the chassis.
Finally there is a conveniently omitted flaw in this design. With your typical case having a rear exhaust fan, the unit depends on the case air pressure pulling outside air in through the PSU, dumping the PSU generated heat into the case, then the case rear fan blowing it back out the rear of the case. This creates a short loop with this heated exhaust air being pulled back into the PSU again. Because of this an alternate case cooling strategy would help, and ultimately the case fan has to run faster to keep the system as cool.
You're just as well off getting a different PSU with a low speed exhaust fan, providing it is an 80 plus rated unit, unless your system uses very little power so the heat levels are managable without any other fan speeds increased to compensate for the PSU. Maybe this is a better unit for non-PC use, if you needed a bench switching power supply for cheap (cheap compared to the cost of many bench PSU at least, though with many of the higher price... Wow Dealstructurer , you might be the coming of the anti compwiz? !?.. The wart on the back goes on the out side of the case. Thanks for usable help and true insight dudes.
Compwiz could take a few pointers from Dealstructurer's good posting style, both informative and concise.

It's touching that you are so rattled.
