The battery operated thomas train set is way better than this crap. This is somethin you see the elves make on the old classic Rouldolph the Red Schlong Reighndeer

Ben, thanks! This was a great deal! I looked this up and conducted a little extra research. I found that E-Toys sells this directly, and linked through both Kaybee and Amazon.com. At Amazon, it was still available and in stock (I bought it 12/15 and it arrived 12/18, with free shipping).

I got the 100 pc. set. It is well built, and appears compatible with Thomas and Brio (although it was a heck of a lot cheaper.)

Wood trains are a lot more durable and more age-appropriate for the younger kids than electric trains. The quality has me eying the 200-pc set. While not $20, it's still a pretty good deal.

The packaging is generic. E-Toys obviously contracted directly with a Chinese factory. In other words, keep an eye out if it's out-of-stock. E-Toys might refresh their inventory after the holidays.
