I've had this cooler in my desktop for almost a couple of years now and it's been doing great. I would give you some temperature readings but I'm not at home right now. As said in the post... great reviews at Newegg.com and you can probably look there for readings. Zalman is my preferred manufacturer for all coolers as I have one for my GPU too. This price is great, and yeah- no rebate involved.

Sorry, but I don't like it. Zalman made this one to look cool, but not be cool. I had one in my box; it didn't cool much differently than the stock HSF, and it wouldn't cool sufficiently at quiet fan RPMs. Increaes fan RPM to cool well, and it is actually more noisy than the stock HSF. I'm currently running a Scythe Ninja, which makes this look small but cools well with less airflow.
How is it awesome to pay $45 for a heatsink? Several have recently been offered for under $15 AR, and will do fine to quietly cool a CPU till you reach the point of diminishing return. In other words, if you have to pay $30 more, suddenly overclocking wasn't such the value you wanted it to be.
