#1 & 2 I purchased mine just before christmas and were $80 after rebate. Got them here: http://www.rakuten.com/prod/iomega-storcenter-ix2-2-bay-0tb-diskless-network-storage/231935535.html price now $136. I saw them after I bought them from this same source for $80 with no rebate! Almost bought a 3rd for myself but I think I'm going to build a NAS from scratch for myself. As for if this is good or not I can't say since I bought 2 of these and are the 1st NASs I have purchased and were for my young adult kids so I don't have them personally. I also purchased 2 3TB hard drives from NewEgg for about $90 each. I have one NAS up and running and gave to one of my kids but the 2nd hard drive is being wonky and not being recognized properly by either NAS and am still trying to figure out the problem. I can partition/format it in windows XP64 and it says it is fine but the NASs don't like it. May have to RMA the one drive.
The IOmega IX2-DL has been $80 recently and according to Small Net Builder faster and offers more features.
sold out. Is that IOMega IX2-DL any good? I'm looking for a home NAS solution.
I second that, also, where is it $80?
^ Just because it used to be $80, that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be back at that price. Currently $128 delivered from B&H seems to be the lowest price - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=864542&Q=&is=REG&A=details
