It would be great to have a way to track items that we want to buy but are hard to find in stock. For example I want to buy a Canon 5D Mark II but can't find one available anywhere.

What do people think?

I think items hard to find aren't going to be featured as deals because their scarcity makes them sold out at lower cost retailers already and to be at premium price elsewhere.

Usually, when something runs out of stock because it isn't produced anymore, there is a more modern alternative that is not only better but at same or lower price. That is merely one opinion...
