Hi Cswerve.
Ben's Credit or "Cred" points accumulate based mostly on member up/down votes for your posts, but also include a factor for # of posts you make.
Members receiving a lot of cred points in a given period, like a week, will be shown on the site "Top Users" list shown on the right side panel of the homepage. That list shows only credit points for the period of the Top Users list while your profile shows the total accumulated credit points.
This is a new site feature so we haven't ironed out all the details but it is possible these might be used to award prizes in the future. We may be making a site announcement and clarifying or addressing member concerns soon. |

Sorry it took me a while to reply, but Cswerve: beware ! Ben's Credits are an insidious plot to indoctrinate you, to control your mind, to make you bend to His will !!! 
I think. Or it could be what Bens_Admin said. |
