| Seems like a descent card. I don't know the model number but you may want to look for the unit that outputs CVBS or a unit that also outputs HDMI. |

I really recommend the Hauppauge HVR-1600. It's the one I'm currently using in my HTPC. It works great. I think it's actually on sale at Fry's right now. $79 - $30 mail in rebate. So it's only $49 after MIR. It's a super deal. It does a great job pulling in OTA ATSC broadcasts. Also I would recommend buying SnapStream Medias Beyond TV. It's a little expensive, but totally worth it.
Another good card is the HVR-1800 nicer because it uses PCI-E and stays a little cooler. The only problem is you really should have XP Media Center or Vista Home Premium or better to use it. It's mainly built for Windows Media Center.
I really hope this helps. Good luck.
WHY TIVO when you can MAKE A FREEVO! =) |

I went with KWorld ATSC 315U HDTV TV Box
Model No.VS-ATSC 315U
The big thing you're looking for if you want to receive HD channels is Clear QAM. This box supports that. It isn't an internal card, but that's not all bad as you can attach it via USB to a laptop or desktop CPU. |

| I've been using KWORLD ATSC 110 for about 1 year, it works great so far, almost all channels are clear. Not sure if this one can accept cable HDTV (QAM), but i'm only using indoor antenna and I'm on second floor. The software that comes with it is not so smooth on my desktop but I'm using WatchHDTV free software that u can download from the net. |
