Why doesn't someone at Bensbargains check these adverts before posting them? Seems a lot of posts are deceptive. I just went thru the process of buying a charging dock, with supposedly "free shipping". Get all they way to the point of confirming payment, and see a shipping charge. Drill down and that if I spent $75 it was free shipping. The dock was $25. how is that "free shipping" Ben?

Sometimes the terms of a deal change after it is listed. You can report deal errors or changes by emailing the info to ben@bensbargains.net or on the 'site "Contact Ben" page here:

http://bensbargains.net/contact.php

It might also have helped if you linked to the deal you are referring to. Was it this? http://bensbargains.net/deal/kensington-nightstand-charging-dock-for-iphone-15-at-buy-com-147764//

When buy.com lists an item with free shipping it is almost always free shipping for buying just that item, not only if the order is $75.

What I suspect happened is that buy.com themselves were selling the item with free shipping, but also there was another merchant selling it on buy.com's site. When you saw the product buy.com had already sold out of their stock and the remaining vendor with stock was offering a different deal, even if it happened to be a (competitive) similar price before shipping.

This situation also happens often on Amazon.com. The better the deal the faster it sells out. If it sells out and you use the above contact info the deal may be updated or marked as expired on the homepage deal listings - not in the forum Hot Deals topic listing.

Sorry for your inconvenience,
