Lord Obama has declared that CO2, the gas we exhale and one of the key elements for life, is now a "dangerous" toxin and a pollutant which must be controlled, likely through the adoption of a "cap and trade" system in which he and his cohort Al Gore are currently heavily invested financially. This would effectively put a tax on everything that produces carbon dioxide, including, if we follow this path to its logical conclusion, a "tax" on children. Before you think that sounds like a great idea given people like "octo-mom" and cracked out welfare whores who can't close their legs, such people would likely be exempt under such a system.
What are your thoughts on this? I know that bacon loves our benevolent lord, so he need not reply. |

| The first half of bacon's reply is his usual mantra (that I am milf_hunter), and the second is research from an unknown source. You do realize that scientists are people with agendas too, right? |

The plain fact of the matter is that CO2 is an awesome gas and there should be more of it. If there wasn't any CO2 then all the plants on the entire planet would immediately die, and it therefore logically follows that by making more CO2 we'll be encouraging more plants to grow. This can only be a good thing, especially for places like deserts that need more plants. INDISPUTABLE FACT! |
I know there's a hint of sarcasm here, but this is actually the reason that grass grew in what is now the Sahara. It has nothing to do with "global warming," as the Earth was actually warmer during the beginning of the Bronze age when all sorts of wild berries flourished in parts of Europe which even today cannot support them. Carbon Dioxide levels were at their highest during the Ice age because of the sparseness of vegetation to absorb it. It certainly hasn't proven to be a "greenhouse gas," though immediately following the ice age it gave rise to plant life which in turn gave rise to human civilization. |

it's taken away the oxygen from the atmosphere from where you stand. if you inhale it, then it takes away the oxygen your lungs need -- you PASS OUT. where there is no oxygen. if you continue to breathe in CO2 while passed out right there, you repeat the cycle: air doesn't redistribute itself for a few minutes. brain damage, risk of death, all that yadda yadda.
on the other hand, that's what makes it a terrific fire extinguisher. point at the base of fire (low to ground away from face-leve); then get the hell away.
mmm, paintball =) one of the funnest games evar!!! |
