Last movie I watched was The Rebound by Catherine Zeta Jones and Justin Bartha. It's a must-see movie, especially if you are into romantic comedies.

The Hangover is constantly funny and endlessly innovative. Every vignette within the movie contains mountains of laughs. Almost every line is bursting with comedy.

In a time of overstuffed 140-minute comedies (looking at you, Mr. Apatow), this is a breath of refreshing air. I can't explain how much I enjoyed this movie, and how much I continue to enjoy it no matter how many times I've seen it. It's simply the funniest movie I've seen for years, possibly decades.

I saw a documentary on PBS last night about a people being convicted of rape and murder and then tomatoed in Atlanta in the early part of last century based on the testimony of a negro who took a dump in an elevator shaft.

Kick-Ass

Didn't really care to see this one way or the other, but was nevertheless coaxed by friends. I like my friends.

Really surprised by how much I enjoyed this. I knew it wasn't a kid-friendly film, so there were no misconceptions about that on my part. Why I remained skeptical, however, was due to the medium which the film derived the story from - a graphic novel. I am by no means discrediting the merits of graphic novels, but the few films I've seen based upon them ("Sin City," "300," "Watchmen") seem to take their respective film into unusual territory.

Sin City, for example, was no doubt a solid movie, but not something I can see myself going back to. While I applaud the director for his efforts, I feel that, from the perspective of the narrative of film, I never really took anything away from the movie other than "it has a nice visual style." It works well for graphic novels, but leaves a little something to be desired for film.

This is where Kick-Ass surprised me. When the credits finished rolling, I had a definitive impression that the director took the basic theme and structure of the graphic novel, but adapted it to celluloid. I left the theater pleasantly surprised that night Very Happy

Everybody is Fine!

it's a drama movie, starring Robert Deniro. It's a movie that had a moving story about a father who loved his children so much. And as he grew old he watched them leave him one by one. The story showed how a father cares so much for his sons and daughters, even though he may not be too showy or affectionate about his feelings towards them.
