I recently bought The Orange Box for Mac on Steam, and I'm excited to play the Half-Life 2 series for the first time. I've been playing Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 on my Mac for months and I've really been impressed with how they are porting these games over.

My main problem is that I have a Mac laptop and would like to use an XBox 360 controller for these games. It works seamlessly with both Left 4 Dead's, but I have yet to be able to make it work with Half-Life 2. I tried googling the issue a bit, and discovered the developer's console, enabled it, but still wasn't able to get the controller to work.

Any ideas or solutions? I'm partial to the controller, so I would like to use it over a mouse.

i think ps3 controller is better
