does any one have any recommendations for metal detectors around $200?

i just started researching them and i read that the ones around $200 are the best for light to moderate treasure hunting.

so, i would rather spend $200 upfront then get some $100 jobber that ends up being a waste.

The following linked topic suggests the Garrett Ace 250... but it's a 5 year old topic, you might ask there if anything better has came out since then. I have no firsthand experience with MDs.
