It has been just a year since I have been using a credit card and my life has become a never ending saga of late payment, late fee, high interest rates, finance charges and the like. Really the best way is to just ask. I've worked in customer service for a little and the best way to get things done is to talk to a supervisor if the person you're talking to can't help you out.
