Welcome to Ben's Bargains!

Here are a few tools on Ben's Bargains that will help all you deal hunters navigate through Black Friday and beyond. If you're new to Ben's Bargains or haven't been here in a while, we've added some very helpful tools: Deal Alerts, Watch This Deal, Page Filter and Sorting Filter.

Deal Alerts (registration required)

You can customize deal alerts by keyword so you don't miss the deals that you're looking for. 

What to do:

Find the "My Account" dropdown menu in the upper right corner of any page on Ben's Bargains and select "Deal Alerts."

On the Deal Alerts page, enter the keyword or keywords that you're interested in. For example, you could create an alert for "Garmin GPS" or "Puma shoes" or "Plasma." You can choose to receive instant alerts (recommended) or just one daily email for all your alerts. Plus, you can select a price range, if necessary.

Click the "Create" button and you're done! You'll receive an email alert when the next deal appears with your chosen keywords.

Watch This Deal (registration required)

You see a specific deal on Ben's Bargains that you're interested in, but the price isn't quite low enough yet or you totally missed it (hate when that happens).

What to do:

Simply click the "Watch This Deal" button and you will automatically start receiving instant alerts for that particular deal. If you want, you can also customize the alert on your Deal Alerts page.

Page Filter

You'd like to narrow down deals on the home page by category, merchant and/or price.

What to do:

Click either the bar that reads "Currently Displaying" or the orange "Page Filter" button which is just below the slider at the top of the home page.

Check the boxes next to the categories, merchants and/or price buckets that you are interested in.

Click "Submit," and your choices will be highlighted in the Page Filter bar. You can click the "X" button in the yellow bar to clear your choices. That's it! The homepage is now filtered to your liking.

Sorting Filter

You'd like to narrow down deals on the home page by Tech or Non-Tech deals, hide expired and sold out deals, and/or sort by hottest deals, most commented deals or high/low price.

What to do:

You can find this filter just under the Page Filter bar. Click any of the three dropdown menus and make your selections. (The default setting for the homepage is to sort all deals by the newest first.)

Once you've made your selections, click the "Go" button and you're done! You can also use the Sorting Filter together with the Page Filter to sharpen your search.

The Comments and "Ben's Cred"

Lastly, check out the comments and be sure to give the good ones a thumbs-up! Your fellow deal hunters are a great resource, and you'll definitely learn a lot!

Plus, a thumbs-up (or thumbs-down) contributes to a user's total score which is known as "Ben's Credit," or "Ben's Cred" for short. We have special plans tied to Ben's Cred, so stay tuned!
