Dell Home has their Dell 2405FPW 24" Wide Screen LCD Display for $824 - $20 off $200 code DN37XBDNWXV71W + $0 shipping = $804. By far the best deal on a screen of this size, and nobody even touches the features that this screen offers. [Review]

use the $35 off $300 (buy it from ebay) and get for $789.00 but still, i'll rather buy a 32" lcd tv for this price and use it has a monitor

Getting better!! Bought mine for $780 a couple months back...if this continues to drop to under $800, I'll get another.

#1, why the hell would you get the tv? It has a really low resolution which would really suck for a computer screen. 1920x 1200 is going to be way higher than what ever the hd tv offers. Unless you are going to use it as a tv, it is not worth your money.

can you plug this into any old (1.5 year old) laptop and at least get it working in some resolution? or does it require a special videocard to do something special?

Actually the Westinghouse LCD TV's have 1980 x 1080 resolution and are commonly used as PC monitors. The 27" are coming down in price and are even cheaper than the 24" dell with true 16x9 widescreen.

#7, only the 37"+ is 1080p, the 27" is only 1280. Still worth considering.

Looks like a much better deal over at Dell Small Business.

    Dimension 9150 Dual Core Desktop + 2405 = $1199.

    That's just $395 for a Pentium D Dual Core 2.8GHz, 512MB RAM, 160GB drive, DVD + CDRW, XP Home, ATI 128MB Radeon X300 SE, 7.1 Audio
