Out of all them yoda would win because he has the force and he is way smarter then them he is 900 years old he is really smart and powerful and they have sticks and weird spells and yoda can cut through the sticks they have and force push them and throw his light saber at them. So yoda would win

Yoda. Yoda is a jedi master. Jedi master’s have super knowledge an use of the force. Yoda especially is small and swift to counter any attack. Yoda is wise and would persuade Gandalf and Dumbledore to talk it over with puffing their pipes and discuss the good old times.

Ancient spells and hokey wizards are no match for a lightsaber at your side. Yoda all the way…the force would mega-pwn Gandalf and Dumbledore at the same time.

  14. Erik

    May 5, 2014 at 5:52 am

Yoda would win. Dumbledore is dead, Gandalf really never does much. He makes some fireworks and smacks a bridge that was apparently already weak. Oh yeah, he set some pine cones on fire once and threaten to turn an innkeeper’s beer sour. Nope, Yoda’s got all the power there.

Yoda would think about a Jedi mind trick, but he would know that it would be unsuccessful on either Gandalf or Dumbledore. Each one would first bring in their supporting character. Gandalf would summon a Rock Giant, Dumbledore would summon Dragon, and Yoda would call on an X-wing fighter.
The X-wing fighter knows he is no match for the Rock Giant so he antagonizes the dragon to engage the rock giant as they are both massive creatures. Swooping down from the sky, dodging boulders hurled from the Rock Giant, the Dragon manages to end the Rock Giant with a crushing blow of his large and scale armored tail.
The X-wing pilot knows he now has a chance to win the battle, not all at once, but he is fast and nimble. The dragon will have a hard time keeping up with him. Using the mountainous terrain to his advantage he flies through small openings leading the dragon on a tiresome chase. With a few shots here and there slowly whittling away at his armor and brawn. The fatigue of the chase has caused the dragon to get sloppy and allowed the X-wing pilot to expose the weakness he had been waiting to find. Underneath the dragons tiny arms in the arm pit there were no protective scales and one shot placed at the perfect angle would penetrate into the beasts vital organs. Dipping and diving, the X-wing pilot had set up the dragon perfectly. With a laser canon blast followed by a proton torpedo to the vulnerable under arm of the dragon, it was finished. The x-wing pilot and Yoda were all similes. Yoda went out on the landing pad to meet the pilot and offer his congratulations, but Gandalf being upset his champion was destroyed first watched the pilot and as he was just a couple hundred feed from the ground, and his master (Yoda), he caused a major system malfunction sending him on a collision course for Yoda.
Yoda was quick to react, always being ready he used the force to stop the engines and slowly lower the X-wing to the ground safely. However he was angry that Gandalf would go to such extremes for revenge.
All three joined in a long and epic battle of hurled rocks, lightening, rain, wind, snow, and all other uses of nature’s beasts and fury.
They all finally figured the only way to finish this would to the old fashioned way. No spells, magic, force, light sabers, ect. Just hand to hand combat in a free for all cage match.
    The stats are as follows:
Jaw (ability to take a hit), Reach (arm length), Power (amount of damage that can be caused), and Speed (reflexes).
Yoda: Jaw (12), Reach (5), Power (6), and Speed (17) – specialty Capaweta
Gandalf: Jaw (8), Reach (9), Power (14), and Speed (9) – specialty Kick Boxing
Dumbledore: Jaw (4), Reach (11), Power (11), and Speed (14) – specialty Wrestling
Being confined in a caged arena detracts from Yoda’s speed advantages, but its low ceiling height at the edges of the ring are to his benefit as his taller opponents cannot get to that area easily.
In the 7th round Dumbledore went in for a double leg take down, instead received a knee to the head from Gandalf causing him to flop on the mat like a lifeless fish and to be the first eliminated.
You could see the frustration in Gandalf as he would chase Yoda around the cage receiving a small attack from Yoda here and there. All Gandalf needed was one good and or lucky shot on Yoda to put him down. Finally Yoda bobbed when he should have weaved and Gandalf was able to land a solid leg chop momentarily keeping Yoda within Gandalf’s striking distance. He came in quick with a jab straight punch combo and like it had worked in many of the pubs before, it had worked in the cage of epic battles.
Gandalf takes it and is crowned for his victory.

After a deep family discussion me and my children can comfortably post that the winner will be Yoda. My 6 year old had the best answer on why this will happen. “Yoda will win because no one is as awesome as Yoda. His name pretty much means winner and if you say otherwise you will immediately be sent to the dark side.”

    May 4, 2014 at 9:41 pm

Yoda of course…Gandalf never seemed to do much while yes, dumbledore does have spells but yoda can trick ‘dore to use any spells on himself since that’s what jedi mind tricks can do to ya!

    – “Dumbledore..hmm…I will win!” – Yoda

It’s a trick question! Since each character only fights the forces of evil, they would all rather be drinking Barliman’s Best aboard the Hogwarts Express heading to Naboo.

Assuming the force works as well as magic in their battle, then Yoda. If they’re all stripped of powers and just went animal style cage fighting, it would be Yoda with a kill order of Dumbledore first then Gandalf. PLUS, when YODA dies he comes back as a straight up ghost. Gandalf dies, he comes back as a physical body. Dumbledore comes back as memories in some whiney kid’s coma dreams. Ghost Yoda ftw.

Yoda hands down. He could dance circles around the big guys and not need a lick of help. Spells and magic is great but when you have got The Force against a zap of an incantation it is not going to cut the mustard. The little dude could make a Whomping Willow weep, tuck its roots behind its tail, and run into the Forbidden Forest to hide behind a Unicorn. Sure, sure, sure Voldemort feared Dumbledore but had Voldemort ever met Yoda? No. Besides it was Harry that took down Voldemort not Dumbledore. Gandalf is not really fitting into the picture because Yoda would have tap danced on Sauron’s eye then dropped on a little Visine and all that nasty stuff would have cleared up post haste. And hello a lightsaber? He could slice and dice those wands up faster than a Ronco Veg O’Matic. Whenever Yoda failed it was because he was up against a like adversary in The Force but mere magicians don’t stand a chance.

This is a difficult question, all great people of character. First – all of them seem to not have a fear of dying in an epic battle for what they believe in even if they are easily misguided.

I truly believe it us a draw between Yoda and Gandalf. Dumbledore though he can perform great magic he need a wand to do it. Also if he dies he becomes a painting.

Gandalf has prove that he can be basically wished back to life, if the world demands it. Yoda only becomes stronger in death. It is very even between those two, Yoda ultimately would win in a battle, plus this all depends on age, all these characters still seem easily winded by use if there skills. Yoda I feel would pull though and crush each character with the force while projecting every item in sight onto them.

Really doubt these characters have to much of ruthless killing side though to get the deed done.

    Thanks!!!

  36. Chebychev

    May 4, 2014 at 4:09 pm

Yoda = Very Wise due to Age + Light Saber Wielding + Force Wielding + Force Lightning + Profound Speed and Agility + Smooth Talker. Yoda needs no additional help in this challenge as he’d immediately take the others down without breaking a sweat. Lure them in with his smooth talking he would, then rip them apart with his remaining virtues he would.

Gandalf, He tends to fight more while Yoda and Dumbledore like to talk before they get to the action. And being as he is the only one to have survived in his films while taking on much more than the other two it has to be Gandalf hands down.

  39. Jade

    May 4, 2014 at 3:25 pm

Definitely… Hands down… YODA! No matter what wizardry spell Gandalf makes, the force is strong with the green one. & besides, you can never underestimate a little guy. As a fellow shorty, we are scrappy and can surprise you.

  40. Dan

    May 4, 2014 at 2:58 pm

With the ‘1 supporting character caveat’ I’m going to go with Gandalf. Slap the One Ring To Rule Them All on pretty much anyone with a decent blade – and viola – off with Yoda’s and Dumbledore’s heads. As I type this my wife is shrieking in the background that I could even remotely consider lopping off the great green one’s head. We love you Yoda!

Yoda, because the force is with him

  42. Ben H

    May 4, 2014 at 2:03 pm

Going to give it to Dumbledore on this one. The Forbidden curses will overrule just about all of Gandalf’s and Yoda’s powers.

Cruciatus and Avada Kedavra alone would be sufficient, even without Imperius to mind control one against the other.

The hardest part would be hitting Yoda as he would see pretty much everything coming and his innate acrobatics would be difficult to pin down.

  43. Daniel M

    May 4, 2014 at 1:44 pm

yoda because nothing is going to stop a lightsaber (besides another lightsaber which neither of them have)

  48. N Sunshyn V

    May 4, 2014 at 11:43 am

Yoda would win. He’s probably got the most years of experience, and he’s always been a greater force when it comes to a physical confrontation.

  49. James Earls

    May 4, 2014 at 11:15 am

I believe Yoda would win for the simple fact he has fought for over 900 years, and even in his last great battle in the Galactic Senate at the age of maybe 860, he still held his own against a Sith Master.

  50. Patrick

    May 4, 2014 at 8:41 am

Yoda. The other 2 could team up and he would still win. The other 2 are too slow. Yoda in battle mode would roll up behind them and give them both a close shave from behind as he decapitates the 2 of them.

  51. Tina Ellison

    May 4, 2014 at 8:23 am

Yoda…he is older, wiser and never needs back-up. The force ALWAYS trumps magic and you never bring a stick or wand to a lightsaber dual.

  52. Russ C

    May 4, 2014 at 8:00 am

Yoda has the confidence advantage. “Do or do not, there is no try”. He isn’t going to try to do it, he just going to do it!

  53. Austin Baroudi

    May 4, 2014 at 7:38 am

Yoda for sure! He would jump around dodgeing everything that the others had to throw at him, then he’d finish them off with a lightsaber kill blow. He wouldn’t even have to use the force, although he does have that to fall back on if things got rocky. I don’t see any way he could lose.

  54. Don S.

    May 4, 2014 at 3:55 am

Yoda would win for a few reasons:
    1. Fast he is
    2. A light saber he has
    3. The force is with him

  55. David Birmingham

    May 4, 2014 at 1:19 am

It is obvious that Yoda would be the ultimate winner, for only he has the “forth” with him!

  56. Sue Barney

    May 3, 2014 at 10:06 pm

I think Yoda would because he doesnt have to waste time by saying spells out loud and the light saber is a pretty Awesome weapon when your opponents dont have one also 🙂

  57. Dolores Q.

Yoda would win. He is one with the force.

Master Yoda of cause with the power of the force.

  59. JD B.

    May 3, 2014 at 9:23 pm

Yoda without a doubt, Gandalf’s sword wouldn’t last one hit and his attempt to blind Yoda would be useless as any youngling could attack without sight. Dumbledore would try a disarm, Yoda would just call his lightsaber back and slice Dumbledore in two. Yoda flawless victory.

  60. Tracy Melhinch

    May 3, 2014 at 8:03 pm

Yoda, for sure! He is a Jedi Master!!

  61. Danielle

    May 3, 2014 at 6:52 pm

  62. Gary Ford, Jr.

Yoda would win! Jedi always prevail.

  63. Yashar

    May 3, 2014 at 3:20 pm

I would say Yoda; he can disarm both Dumbledore and Gandalf just by using the force to grab Dumbledore’s wand and Gandalf’s staff leaving them helpless.

  64. Jessica Ruggiero

Yoda will win because he can use the force & his light saber!

    Yoda. The force controls all.

  68. Ben Jacobs

    May 3, 2014 at 12:58 pm

In a no holds barred contest, I choose Gandolf, assuming he has some sort of defense against a lightsaber. If the lightsaber is akin to an unstoppable weapon though, I have to go with Yoda.

  69. [email protected]

    May 3, 2014 at 12:37 pm

    It’s simple:

Yoda’s “Force” is within. Gandalf’s power comes from his staff and Dumbledore, his wand. (i.e. Yoda could “force disarm” them).
    Yoda’s Lightsaber > Gandalf’s Glamdring
    Yoda’s Midichlorians > Dumbledore’s Veneficus Corripio
The kicker? Yoda’s Jedi Mind Tricks.

Done. “The other contestants can go about their business. Move along.” (waves hand).

  70. William Tang

    May 3, 2014 at 11:45 am

Tough question… They’re all so old. Definitely yoda because he trained Luke who became super powerful and evil. Dumbledore and Gandalf had two wimpy kids (frodo).

  71. Justin

    May 3, 2014 at 11:24 am

Yoda. How could he not? He’s got the entire “force” for goodness sake. Plus it has bee proven 6 times nobody can beat the force, at least until episode 7 maybe.

  72. christopher h

    May 3, 2014 at 11:01 am

Yoda, because Gandalf and Dumbledore would concentrate too much on fighting one another

  73. Nanette Olson

    May 3, 2014 at 9:35 am

Gandalf would win because he has knowledge and power.

  74. Jeff

    May 3, 2014 at 9:20 am

Yoda of course. This does not have to be some long answer. Yoda’s source of power comes from around him. It is not dependent on casting a spell. Yoda can sense the action (spell) before it even happens. As my wife would say, yoda is a cute little guy.

  75. Ryan

    May 3, 2014 at 8:46 am

Yoda because he is so fast. Plus with support characters Han in the Millenium Falcon beats Gandolf’s giant falcon.

  76. simone

Dumbledore, because he’s dumbledpre obviously!! We all cried when he died and he is intelligent!! Solo my birthday is on may 4th!!! You have no idea how much this would mean to me if I won!! Tommorow happy star wars day( and my birthday)!!

  77. Heather Curtis

    May 3, 2014 at 8:35 am

    Yoda. Ask not why! 😉

Okay, okay. I believe it’s because he is super short and therefore has the advantage over the tall dudes. Have you ever tried fighting a gnome or a dwarf? It’s no easy feat! Not mention, he does have “the force”. Yeah, Gandalf and Dumbledore don’t hold a candle (or a lightsaber).

  78. Anne Dreher

    May 3, 2014 at 8:24 am

I’m going with the obvious, Yoda. As we all know Yoda is the wisest and therefore could outsmart the other two very easily!

  81. Rosanne

Yoda would win. Just look at him. The answer is obvious there.

  82. John

    May 3, 2014 at 7:35 am

    1) First assumption is that each is at the height of their abilities and supporting allegiances. (Gandalf as a white wizard, Yoda pre-Vader, Dumbledore pre-hand curse)

    2) Each of these opponents is deeply committed to peaceful resolution, we also have to assume, if this is indeed an epic battle, that some irreconcilable conflict has pitted them against one another (Let’s say that Dumbledore discovered that Yoda is actually a horcrux that must be destroyed, Yoda believes that Gandalf is a Sith lord, and Gandalf believes that Dumbledore possesses Sauron’s ring and is irreversibly under its control.)

    3) Finally we’ll assume that they’re fighting on neutral territory but, per the rules of this contest, with the help of one key ally: Yoda arrives with Mace Windu at his side, Dumbledore with McGonagall, Gandalf with Aragorn.

Conclusion: Yoda and Mace create an unstoppable force, yes force, that immediately wipe out Aragorn and McGonagall. Sensing any oncoming spell, attack, etc from their remaining foes, they deftly avoid any harm while effortlessly slicing through one adversary after another. In the end, it’s a relatively short, seemingly uneventful battle.

Yoda. Because the force is with him and a light saber which it is very persuasive.

  92. Chan

    May 2, 2014 at 10:34 pm

Yoda would win. It goes Yoda > Dumbledore > Gandalf. Yoda has the FORCE, speed and lightsaber not to mention he can just use the force and slam the others in to a wall. Dumbledore is an all powerful wizard and has all of his spells but need time to use wand. Gandalf, well he has spells and fireworks, but he got whipped how many times???

  93. Gilbert

    May 2, 2014 at 9:27 pm

Gandalf… cause he got his own flock of gangster-ass, giant eagles! What does Dumbledore have? He has a bunch of pimple faced tweens straddling mops… And Yoda? He has Frank Oz’ hand up his green butt!

  94. Russ Foley

    May 2, 2014 at 8:34 pm

Yoda would definitely win. Firstly because the wizards would underestimate him due to his small size. He would then baffle them with his speech. While pondering what he had said, Yoda would launch a sneak attack with the force by throwing items (rocks or some such) at the back of their heads. If by chance this didn’t finish the job, his speed and agility along with his lightsaber would end the battle.

Yoda, because he’d kick the Sith out of ’em. 😀

Yoda would win since his opponent would under estimate him due to his looks and size. He has the force and a lightsaber. Dumbledore would be no match for his speed. Gandalf might be a tougher opponent, but Yoda would eventually wear him down.

The only way I can envision these three battling is because an argument over which one of them is the “best” good guy has escalated, and such an argument could only have started after copious amounts of alcohol have been consumed. I contend that the victor in such a conflict is not necessarily the strongest or the one with the superior fighting skills, but is often the combatant who has the most control over (in this case) his body and is in the best physical shape. While there is evidence that Dumbledore has excellent control over his corporeal self (extracting memories, teleportation, etc.), there is little evidence of his cardiovascular fitness. Gandalf, on the other hand, does a heck of a lot of hiking and we know he can run a pretty decent distance and still have something left. However, his demonstrated magical abilities, while not unimpressive, are outwardly focused. Yoda, on the other hand, has mastery over himself and his environment, as well as incredible stamina (I doubt a “light” saber is so named because of it’s mass). Yoda is the clear winner here, both in the physical conflict as well as the argument that started the whole thing.

I hate to say it, I really do, it being May the 4th and all…but it’s gotta be Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. Sorry you Jedi nerds, but it’s the truth. Yoda not only witnessed but contributed to the incarnation of Darth Vader and the Galactic Empire. It all happened right under his green little nose, Force and all. All those Jedi that died…yup, it’s on Yoda. And when he fought Darth Sidious straight up mano y mano, he LOST. He had to exile himself into that craphole Degobah. Now, our boy Gandalf almost gets killed by his buddy Saruman, actually does get killed by a balrog (Fly you fools!), and then when he comes back, he still isn’t man enough to take the ring himself into the fires of Mordor. Props to him though for saving Rohan and Gondor. And for not indirectly contributing to the rise of Sauron and the armies of Mordor a la Yoda. So. Dumbledore. This badass concocts a plan that’s literally decades in the making. Like literally literally, not the recently dictionary approved fake literally. We all know the story, he befriends, mentors, and trains an emotionally neglected, orphaned kid to send him to his own death at the appropriate time. And he’s totally fine with it. There is never a point at which things occurred outside of Dumbledore’s plan. Pretty sure Yoda didn’t see Darth Vader coming. Pretty sure Gandalf was a bit iffy about the hobbits. But not Dumbledore. There’s a reason that Dumbledore was the only wizard that Voldemort feared. “It is our choices that show what we truly are far more than our abilities” – Dumbledore. Peace out nerds.

Yoda! He can shoot lightning from his hands and drop all kids of mad stuff on the other old guys.

Yoda would destroy Gandalf in the first five minutes with his Lightsaber and after a long “Jedi Powers vs. Magical Powers” battle, Yoda would eventually overcome Dumbledore. After all, Yoda has more experience considering he is around 900 years old and Dumbledore is only 100 something. But just as Yoda lets his guard down, Gandalf comes back as Gandalf The White and ultimately wins the battle by defeating Yoda.

Yoda in a close match. Yoda’s speed gives him a huge advantage over the other two.

Gandalf the White, not Gandalf the Grey. I’m sure his transformation will be more akin to a surprise development that will throw the odds in his favor. Yoda’s good, but he won’t be battling just Dumbledore and Gandlaf, but also the dark side of the Force. Well, Dumbledore, we all know what happened to him.

This is obviously a rhetorical question. Despite that question being a fun setup, I will clarify that Yoda is the obvious winner.

Gandalf I guess. He’s a wizard who does wizardly elemental spells.

Yoda would win. He has the advantage over Dumbledore for sure. Yoda doesn’t need to say anything to cast his “spell”, he just has to think it, which is faster. Also, lightsaber melee weapon is an advantage as well.

Gandalf has a melee weapon but I don’t think it would be effective against a lightsaber. We’ve seen that elvin swords can be broken.

I give this one to Yoda.
