The fit depends on the shape of your car seat and the console. The gap in our car was a little too big and it would just slip down. Seems like a better design would be a length of black foam that you squish into the gap. Free returns, though.
I stuff folded towels that match my interior between the seats and console. They're handy if there's a spill or you want to eat lunch in your vehicle and use it as a catch cloth, wiping sweat off your brow in the summer, wiping up snow, rain, or mud off floor mats, get fog off windows faster, etc. etc.
