the freebies are not 55... 20 plus 5$ for the chicken . andapple pie... is all its worth. meaning 25 bucks.. so think that this is costing u. 30$.. its still good for one year.
^ Cash card $20, Chicken about $5, Apple pie $5-10, and 30 pack of pottie paper, and how do you put a price on pottie paper? Plus, it says & more, and you don't know what a pack of more sells for these days. Sounds like a good deal to me.
I agreed it a good deal with few great coupons in return. In for one just to see if Costco still carrying $1 million diamond ring and should be on clearance by now.
Costco > sams. Plus Costco actually treats its employees fairly vs. paying so little their HR department is actually set up to help employees get food stamps from the govt.

I consider myself fairly conservative but did have a debate with another conservative regarding living wages. I pointed out that we are going to pay either way, either were willing to pay higher prices and Wal-Mart pay employees more, or we'll pay the difference in taxes. So that $1 product is actually being subsidized by tax payers.
^ No, higher taxes now because a large corporation with VERY healthy profits pays such a low wage that workers can't survive without the taxpayer's assistance. Consider this: a recent report stated that fast food workers in Australia make the equivalent of $20/hour and they still make a profit.
If we don't give low wage workers food stamps, we are giving them Earned Income Credit. We the taxpayers are subsidizing the low wages of companies so that they can have higher profits, and then they do things to avoid paying taxes, so we have to pay more. It's a double whammy to taxpayers. But your favorite "news" channel is blaming the workers!
Politics aside, my wife and I have base memberships to both. First, let me say this about warehouse stores... There are little to no savings to be had. They're just neat stores to tool around in. Generally, the wife and I can shop in these store with relatively little conflict. If there is a gas station associated with your warehouse store, it may be a little cheaper, but virtually negligible. It's certainly not worth driving out of ones way to get gas at SAMs.
That being said, Costco has dramatically fallen out of our favor. SAMs has (at least recently) had a better selection, lower prices, and the people are as helpful as they are at costco. Now those employees are free to apply for a job at Costco and I hope they get it. As a consumer, a husband , a dad, and a regular guy who refuses to use bensbargains to make political debate cuz my dog has stopped listening to me, SAMs is the winner these days.
