Here we are again. It looks good at this price. I'd love to have something that can fit in a larger jacket pocket, I think I'll wait for the Toshiba, or another with display port, to hit this price. One of my bigger use cases is giving presentations. With adapters, a real display port can work with HDMI and VGA projectors. The Miracast stuff seems too new and still quirky.
Windows Vista 8.1 and I get that chunky 720p display. who needs those fancy 300 PPI displays, heck I think they should have went old school and do a VGA tablet just to be different. Besides Linux on that tablet would be too odd, you know that nobody runs Android, IOS, Mac OS X or Linux, that **** is all just a crock of **** from the NSA. Everyone in the world really runs windows everywhere....
I lasted a little over a month with mine before I gave up due to a terrible stylus, support that was even worse, and a battery that dropped 3% per hour even when unused and in standby. It seemed to get worse with each update, and there were several. Also, 32GB is not enough once you install Office and the SD card option is very limited. It was a fairly complicated setup to get it to work with my company's exchange server. All that work was undone, twice, because Dell did full resets in an effort to fix stylus problems that are clearly hardware issues.
I did think the screen was nice, once I turned off Dell's auto brightness which made it nearly unusable. It's fairly "quick" too and the Win 8.1 experience is better on a tablet than a desktop. So it wasn't all bad. But in the end I would not recommend this (or any Dell product) to a friend. Half baked hardware and software combined with the worst support you can imagine is just a recipe for frustration. Even if the price is appealing, if it brings you nothing but problems it isn't worth it.
windows 8.1 on tablet is good. There isn't much app. But with a full browser, you can do anything with it. The price is real good too. I tried the Lenovo MIIX 8" screen. Its too small for me.

Yo Taky! the 8" Dell is the same size as your 8" Lenovo, they are both 8"!
