I bought this last year and it's been working great. You hook up the gateway to your router by ethernet, and replace your existing wall control; the two communicate wirelessly. Apps are available for iOS and Android to check the state of your door and remotely open/close it. Saved my bacon a few times when I left the house and couldn't remember if had closed the garage door. You can also set it to notify you everytime the door is opened or closed.

Just purchase it recently. Took me 5 minutes to install wall unit. It does work with my Sears brand. I believe it is compatible with Chamberlain as well. The website says it can be used with 1998+ models.
