Crazy good deal, use this phone and also have a no contract phone. Great coverage, great phone!!! The 45 dollar plan is great for low data usage users.
Sorry #3, unfortunately the G cannot be moved to a postpaid line. The listing is a lot more clear about this than Best Buy is, but the bottom line is that it will only work on a prepaid line.
"NOTE: This phone is NOT compatible with Verizon contract plans. It is a designated no-contract phone and will not work as a replacement device on an existing Verizon contract."
HOWEVER, I have seen rumors circulating that it could be moved after 6 months on a prepaid line, but no confirmation of that.
Be aware that some of these Motorola phones are not completely 100% android. I have had friends that lost features such as swype from their phones once they upgraded the OS and had to go through hoops to get them back.

This is most likely tied to Verizon. They constantly neuter their phones OS so you have to pay for features you get for free with Android on other carriers.
I can confirm that an upgrade on my Galaxy SIII removed other keyboards. I reinstalled them and it was fine. That was a Verizon trick, not the phone maker.
I've just got this phone today. It's a dissapointment; it's different from contracted phones.
I wish Bens would include more of the technical points.
There is no expansion slot for micro SD. The phone internal memory is 8gig. It's not 4G LTE capable! You can't remove/replace battery. I really don't know why they even let the back cover come out.
I bought it to be used as a Ipod, and MP3 player and able to play games over WiFi. the fact that there is no expansion slot for more memory is a deal killer.
I just hope that BB would take back... even with the butchered vacuum wrapping.
