^ yeah the design also makes them good for placement near a vehicle subwoofer, but at an auto show where the vibration can be managed, it's mainly about pimping the product and looking like you have an exotic setup.

The codes work on the larger batteries, 214.99-50=264.99. They are very good batteries for extremely cold temperatures (very high cold cranking amps) or if you run an upgraded stereo system.
mine was dead in less than a year and i had no significant parasitic draw. car batteries are one of the few things you should buy at sears; diehard is consistently rated as the best on the market and even the better/best models are cheaper than this deal.

The red top is more than enough for the average enthusiast. The yellowtop is most premium they offer.
I don't know about the cold weather claim by comment 6... I always thought cold cranking amps determined this.
