I'd caution you to read those Eggviews, if I had a Premier account that got free shipping to, and free return RMA shipping it might be worth a gamble.

When you factor in the aggravation and wasted time attendant with trying to work with a (very) potentially buggy motherboard, it just seems worth it to pay a little bit more, doesn't it? Plus, if recent experience with an ECS videocard (a 650GTX with no 6-pin around Christmas for $70 AR, which I'm still waiting for) rebate is any indication, the rebate will take forever to show up. Maybe I'm just not adventurous enough, because this thing looks like it has some nice features, even for the non-rebate sales price.

How does ECS stay in business? I made the rookie mistake of once trying their MB and all I can say is it was a waste of time and money. With decent Asrock and Gig. and Asus boards available, how can anyone justify this crapola?

^ ECS has improved a lot in the last dozen years. I'd still rate them below the likes of Gigabyte and Asus but they usually undercut those two on price by economizing on support, so how they stay in business is low cost products.

This one is an oddity though, with "ADS" (anti dust shields) and golden plated inductors.

Really?? So would the rest of the world...
Anything you would rate above??

I've bought at least 8 ECS boards over the years (Frys) for different builds. Only 1 wouldn't post. Tested at counter, exhcanged, in and out...
All abused and still going strong.

"low cost products" doesn't necessary mean lower quality, End of line runs, clearing out old/overstock etc;

Agree with Casecutter.. I wouldn't buy ANY board online without free shipping back.
Too much can happen in shipping or static discharge during setup...

^ You must not have bought many ECS boards before about 6 to 8 years ago. They were horrific quality before then.

I bought over 10 ECS since 2000 Every single one works fine. I have no problem with it. ECS boards is not my favorite. I buy it because it is cheap after a mail-in rebates. 20, 25,30 and 40 dollars is the most I ever paid A/R . They use to have rebates all the time on every single boards as I remember. I did take avantage back then. Now, I hardly see any ECS rebates at all until this one. I agree with all of you, Stay away from this one. The rebates looks good, But the board have problems. Too many bad reviews saying problems.. I am not premier member with NE. But, Every return I make they never charge me shipping or restocking fees as long the item is defective, broken,damage ect,ect DOA. Not worth the time, Hours working on it and find out its defective.
