IDK, still feel pricy for the out-going GM206. Consider this in a GTX 960 4Gb trim is at best $180ish. Yes, I know it offer you the professional drivers but still.

Yeah, workstation cards are always overpriced. I miss the days when you could buy a gaming card and with a driver hack turn it into a workstation card which costs much more money. Workstation and gaming cards use similar hardware but the driver sets them apart. The manufactures found a way to stop the hack.
What's the difference between business and home drivers?
The drivers developed for high end workstation graphics cards are optimized for CAD and other similar 'professional' applications, not games. Workstation drivers are designed to be extremely accurate while gaming drivers are designed to output as many frame rates a minute as possible. Workstation and gaming cards may have nearly identical hardware but the driver (program that controls the device) is tailored to specific tasks and can no longer be hacked to be interchangeable these days. Workstation cards are much more expensive because they are used in a workplace environment so manufactures know that professionals are willing to pay up to be more productive on the job.
